Bamboo was founded in 1999 in Hong Kong, with its R&D center located in Guangzhou. By providing customized technology consulting services to enterprise clients across global markets, Bamboo is committed to meeting business needs in the Asia-Pacific, while actively expanding its commercial footprint in Europe, the Middle East, and other regions.

With over 20 years of experience in technology consulting services, Bamboo is also the first company in China to receive CMMI Level 5 certification, accumulating extensive project and technical expertise in the IT field. Since becoming a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner in 2004, Bamboo has maintained a strong collaboration with Microsoft teams worldwide and continues to expand its capabilities across the Microsoft technology stack. Currently, 70% of the company's team members hold Microsoft technical certifications.

Our Leadership

Gene T. Kim

CEO

Mr. Kim began his career as a trader of sophisticated financial derivatives for JP Morgan and Merrill Lynch. At 24 he was made the Head Trader of Merrill Lynch's global USD Fixed-Income Swap Group, then the largest derivatives trading desk in the world. After leading the group to a series of #1 rankings by both institutional clients and competing investment banks, Mr. Kim moved to London to manage the European Fixed-Income Swap Group for Merrill. At 27 Mr. Kim joined the hedge fund Tiger Management, then the largest in the world, where he was responsible for all trading in Asia. He left Tiger in 1999 to found Bamboo and has been the driving force and vision behind the company. Mr. Kim has been widely recognized as one of the founding figures in the Chinese Offshore Software Outsourcing industry and has been interviewed in numerous international television, newspaper, and magazine features. Mr. Kim double majored in Finance and Decision Sciences at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

Fion Li

Group Operations Director and Global Head of Partnerships

Ms. Li has more than 20 years' experience in IT industry with a successful track record of delivering high quality projects to Fortune 500 clients in Asia Pacific and USA regions. She specializes in scaling up technology organizations by combining her expertise in project management, quality system management, operations management, business development, and partnerships.

Ms. Li has transformed multiple departments of Bamboo by taking different responsibilities such as Head of PMO, USA Business Unit offshore center, China Business Unit, and Operations Department. She has delivered multiple projects to global clients such as P&G, IBM, HaiNan Airlines, Sensitech & Crown Worldwide etc. by combining her project management experience with people skills and ability to solve business problems.

Ms. Li is acting as Group Operations Director and is in charge of formulating & deploying the marketing, business development, and operations strategy in line with Bamboo's overall strategic objectives. Additionally, she also acts as Global Head of Partnership to drive product and service offerings through suitable partnership to help customers achieve digital transformation.

Pancham Bahri

Vice President of Software Delivery

Mr. Bahri is a seasoned IT leader with over 25 years of experience, specializing in driving digital transformation and innovation. With a proven track record of successfully managing and delivering diverse projects, he has excelled in bridging the gap between complex business processes and cutting-edge technology solutions. Mr. Bahri's expertise lies in leading software engineering teams, optimizing agile development processes, and providing strategic technology direction for Hyper Automation and Digital Transformation initiatives. With a passion for emerging technologies, he has developed next-generation apps incorporating augmented reality, mixed reality, and social media elements. His strategic mindset, industry knowledge, and commitment to excellence make him a valuable asset in revolutionizing software development and delivering exceptional business value.
